Graduate Employability Management Scheme or (GEMS) is a government capacity building initiative developed to equip graduates with commercially useful skills and experiences that will enhance their employability. This scheme is part of the 7 billion stimulus package announced by Y.A.B. Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Abdul Razak as part of the programme to mobilise our human capital to support the country’s economic growth.

GEMS has the mandate to train 12,000 graduates over a two (2) year period. The programme is based on an earlier Graduate Employability Enhancement (GREEN) Programme developed by Khazanah Nasional Berhad with the support of Government-linked companies (GLCs).

Any organisation which is interested to be part of the GEMS programme can participate by applying to become a 'Participating Organisation' and filling-up the registration form. The GEMS Secretariat will get in touch with the company’s representative once they receive the application.

What are the benefits of participating in this programme for an organisation?

1. Added manpower for a 6 month period.
2. All the participants are degree holders who have graduated from various universities.
3. Monthly allowance for all the participants will be paid for.
4. Provide support in helping nurturing the country’s human capital.
